STANDARD 13

Students demonstrate STEAM content knowledge representative of STEAM literacy outcomes that prepare them for the next level of learning and work.

Impact Narrative:

Scholars demonstrate their STEAM content knowledge in a variety of ways. Within their STEAM journals, scholars capture their learning process and reflect upon their achievements. During the learning process, scholars use the Design Thinking Process, hands-on investigations, and group activities to guide their collaborative and problem-solving thinking. Scholars' final products and creations demonstrate their STEAM content knowledge, as each is unique, student-led and developed by that particular scholar or collaborative group of scholars.

Our Eighth Grade Scholars enroll in high school accredited courses such as Algebra I, Biology, and Spanish III. Through these advanced course offerings our scholars are prepared for the End of Course exam at the conclusion of the school year.

Each month our Academic Accountability Committee meets to report on data regarding our academic programs. Data is compiled by our Academic Coaches, STEAM Specialist, Associate Head of Schools and Director of Data and Analytics.
